The Armed Forces of the Philippines invites you to join their AFP Photo Contest anchored with the theme: “Why I Continue to Trust the Filipino Soldier”
Get a chance to win a Free Aircraft Ride with the brave airmen of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, where you will be given a rare chance and opportunity to experience the thrill and excitement of doing aerial photography!
Whether you are a professional or a newbie in photography, or just about anyone who loves to take photos; you now have a reason to start taking shots of anything that goes well with the theme of this photo contest. You just have to submit your photo entries- and get to a chance to win a rare privilege to get inside a military aircraft and fly with the AFP.
By submitting your photo entries, you are allowing the AFP to publish your photos for promotional purposes; but of course with the proper acknowledgement of the photographer. The winning photo will be featured on the Facebook Fan Page of the AFP and AFP’s Official Website.
Not only that, the photographer with the winning entry can also bring along three (3) other individuals to join him/her in the Free Aircraft Ride
Mechanics: (taken from the photo contest’s official website)
- Excluding military personnel, all civilians are qualified to join the contest. Only one (1) photo entry per contestant.
- Photo Format: Full Colored or Black and White, Size: 8x10in (8R), Resolution: 300 Pixels Per Inch (PPI), File Type: JPEG
- Concept should be wholesome and creative.
- Featured objects/military personnel/place/figures/scenery positively representing the Armed Forces of the Philippines must be visible in the photo.
- Contestants are only allowed to alter their photos’ brightness and contrast. No other photo enhancement/alterations shall be done; doing so will lead to disqualification.
- No markings (intentional or otherwise) should be found on the photo.
- Entries should not have been previously submitted or used in other competition or subject to copyright issues.
Criteria for Judging
- Creativity (40%)
- Relevance to the Theme (30%)
- Photo Quality (20%)
- Facebook Fans' Choice (10%)
Send the JPEG file of your entries together with a short caption, your full name and address (in MS Word Format) to our email: afppaoresearch@gmail.com on or before September 9, 2011.
