Reviews: PiYESta KTV and Resto Bar
A complete standout amidst a throng of conventional restaurants. In PiYESta KTV and Resto Bar, expect an ongoing feast and party every single day!
A perfect mix of booze, music, pulutan, and fun-- this General Santos based restaurant has finally branched out to the Davao Metropolis at the SM Davao- Annex.
Piyesta KTV and Resto Bar: Opening and Grand Launching
PiYESta (with an emphasis on the YES!), opened its Davao branch on March 22, 2012 and had its Grand Launching on March 28, 2012.
Owned and managed by the ever upbeat and stylish Ms. Donna Mae Congson of Kikay Much!, the resto-slash-KTV bar is imbued with a festive atmosphere, vibrant interiors, and that homey Filipino ambiance you would not find in other restos. I just love how they were able to put together amazing fixtures that do not only imbibe an earthy feel to it, but also one that screams out-- PINOY! (well, more specifically--- MINDANAO!)
Piyesta KTV and Resto Bar: Filipino Dining at its Finest
With a plethora of delectable and savory dishes, you are sure to find one that will suit well with your taste buds, have your tummies stocked, and leave you wanting for more.
From their diverse food selection, my personal favorites would include their Kura Sticks (stuffed Siling Labuyo that is!), Chili Garlic Pork, and Kinilaw na Tsada. I also heard that their Bicol Express was a definite WIN!, just remember to tell them ahead not to make it too spicy if you are not that sure if your system can handle its extreme hot-ness.
Piyesta KTV and Resto Bar: Barkada KTV Rooms
Taking into consideration the Pinoys' insatiable urge to belt out those scream-y Aegis songs to Lady Gaga's rock-out tunes; aside from offering a complete dining experience, PiYESta! also gives you a place to unwind with your friends or family with their KTV rooms. Ranging from PhP1000-1500 that is also consumable, you get to have a choice of KTV rooms that can accommodate around 8-15 people.
To fully enjoy your diva-ish moments crooning those sappy ballad songs, pair it up with PiYESta's wide selection of pulutan and booze. You could also choose from their wide array of cocktail drinks.
PiYESta KTV and Resto Bar: Of Booze, Cocktails, and Games
Well, the fun doesn't end there. In case you want to just lounge around and hang-out with your peers over some drinks, PiYESta also features an Al Fresco area where you can enjoy a round (or many rounds!) of booze and cocktail drinks. (FYI: Just recently, actor and sports enthusiast Marc Nelson recently had a photoshoot there!)
Could you imagine that? A place to have some liquor, music, and fun inside one of the city's top malls? Ain't that just convenient? After a day of window shopping, you can just sit back and relax, enjoying one of PiYESta's various offerings. :)
Note:To ward off boredom and to be able to enjoy your drinks even more, you can choose from Piyesta's different treats and specials. Drink your booze and cocktails while enjoying a game or two of sungka or dama with their very own, Sungka Shots and Dama Shots. They also have their in-store special, Jello Shots and Beer Pong. :)
So, watcha' waiting for? Head out now to PiYESta KTV and Resto Bar and enjoy a fun-filled time with your 'kada and family!
Events: Abreeza Fashion Runway 2012
On January 7, 2012 at the Abreeza Activity Center, members of the DEFG or Davao Elite Fashion Group, composed by Popoy Barba, Aztec Barba, Dodjie Batu, Edgar Buyan, and Emi Englis sashayed their various takes on the styles and designs that would be the trend for 2012.
Laidback. Mystical. Sensual. Dark...
The collections presented were a mix of all sorts. Starting with flowing dresses mixed with vibrant colors and killer heels, the show started off quite coolly, while advancing later on to more intricate and extravagant styles and designs. Adding to the entire feel and mood of the event were the catchy and upbeat tunes played in the background, which increased the hype level of everyone.
The models strutted off their way on the stage, arrayed in the elegant and eye-catching pieces they are donning. Photographers milled around in front of the catwalk, trying to take quick shots of the designs as well as the models. Davao Bloggers and other media groups were also present to take notes on the event and cover it. Aside from that, popular Davao fashion bloggers who recently had their first soiree which was sponsored by MAGS, also graced the scene donned in threads that were equally fabulous.
Overall, the event was a smashing success that had fascinated not only the fashion-savvy audience, but even those who know little to nothing about fashion. With several designs and styles that are sure to keep you looking and amazed, the event did not only exhibit the beauties of the models, but also the ingenuity of our local fashion designers.
